TYPES OF MASKS :-

With Covid-19 showing no stopping at all and the number of cases increasing day by day , it arises the question does lockdowns help  ? lockdowns can be a short term answer but it cannot be imposed for a long period of time , so it arrises how to ease lockdown?

in many asian countries  mask is compulsory nowdays , but what is the mask actually doing is it protecting the user or others nearby ? what are the different types of masks?

TYPES:-

• FFP(Filtering Face Masks):-

It does not fit properly or we can say it fits ugly , it blocks the tiniest particle . there are two types unvalved and valved . unvalved protects both the wearer and its nearby while valved protects only the user since the valve while allowing swift breathing allows particles to go through . they are used for medical.

• Surgical masks 

this is the most common mask we see out in public being the cheapest , it is made of layers of paper . 

it stops large droplet from moving out to the surrounding , but does little for particles entering . It protects the surrounding and not the wearer

• DIY Textile maks :- 

You must have seen ads regarding this , this tho looks cool and flashy , blocks only 1/3 of  droplets compared to surgical masks .Tho it can be reused , it is not effective for fight against covid-19

So we can see the types of masks , but the main thing to focus is to handwash properly and keep proper distance from people .

Wearing a mask is to cover both nose and mouth and clean hands

according to a study in HKU Med it was found out that if patients wore mask it increased there chance of not getting infected by virus 

so ANY MASK IS BETTER THAN NO MAKS but we should not treat it as a magical weapon that will cure covid - 19 , we should follow the rules laid out by who , and help to stop this deadly virus from spreading
