According to a study , it has been found that Covid-19 could have lingering after – effects in recovered patients. At least one symptom could still be seen even after an average of 60 days. The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It surveyed the patients who had recovered from a hospital in Rome . Nearly 90% of patients hadn’t fully recovered even after an average of two months . Around 87.4% of patients still reported at least one symptom – particularly fatigue and shortness of breath. As a result of pandemic , many countires have put the country people in quarantines , lockdowns and imposed ban on international and even domestic travel . It is predicted that it will likely increase poverty and inequalities . Global suffering might escalate , jeopardizing lives and livelihoods for years to come . It is believed that economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic would vary in sectors . Particularly for India , the impact is supposed to be trivial. According to the Global Economic Prospects report released by the World Bank , India’s gross domestic product(GDP) is expected to contract by 3.2% in 2020-21.
